“Today the fate of the world depends primarily on its statesmen and secondarily on their interpreters”

Court interpretation

Court interpretation is performed exclusively before courts and court-related bodies. It is performed in both modes, simultaneous and/or consecutive, by a sworn court interpreter. But, in some countries (like North Macedonia) no distinction is made between a sworn interpreter and sworn translator. This means that the client could receive the interpretation service before court by a person sworn for translation and interpretation (since no distinction is made in the particular country), but the worst case scenario could be that the interpreter has NO experience as an interpreter, and works mainly as sworn translator. This could result in serious negative effects and often irreparable consequences for the client as party in a court proceeding.

That is why we recommend to work with an experienced language service provider knowing the exact qualification of all language experts in its team, and thus being able to choose the right person for the right project, with adequate experience and knowledge of the particular terminology.
